How to turn off Find My iPhone on your Apple Device because sometimes it may annoy you too much If you are an Apple user then it is highly possible that you are familiar with the term Find My iPhone. Find My iPhone (also known specifically for other devices as Find My iPad, Find My iPod, or Find My Mac) is an app and service provided by Apple Inc. that allows remote location tracking of iOS devices, Mac computers, Apple Watch, and AirPods. As of March 2013, the service currently is available for iOS 5 or later and OS X 10.7.5 “Lion” or later through iCloud.
The service itself is integrated into iOS and macOS, while enabled devices can be tracked using either an iOS app or the iCloud website. On iOS 8 and older, the tracking app can be downloaded from the App Store free of charge. Starting in iOS 9, the app was bundled with the operating system. In this article we going to show you step by step How to turn off Find My iPhone .

Features Offered:

Find My iPhone allows users to locate their iOS devices using either the iOS app or icloud website on a computer. In addition to locating a device, the service offers three key features
Play Sound – Makes the device play a sound at maximum volume, makes flashing on screen even if it is muted. This feature is useful if the device has been mislaid.

Lost Mode (iOS 6 or later) – Flags the device as lost or stolen, allowing the user to lock it with a passcode. If the device is an iPhone and someone finds the device, they can call the user directly on the device.

Erase iPhone – Completely erases all content and settings. This is useful if the device contains sensitive information, but the device cannot be located after this action is performed. Starting with iOS 7 or later, after the erase is complete, the message can still be displayed and the device will be activation locked. This makes it hard for someone to use or sell the device should the owner of the device misplace it. An Apple ID Password will be required before turning off Find My iPhone, signing out of iCloud, erasing the device, or reactivating a device after a remote wipe.

Undoubtedly Find My iPhone is really an amazing feature from Apple which can help to locate lost iPhones everywhere, and more importantly weed out phone thieves. Find My iPhone feature is super useful when your device is stolen but not so handy when you have sent the device to Apple repair, or if you want to sell it. Moreover, I want to let you know that including all the other applications on your iPhone, Apple is tracking your locations too, and you would probably want to turn it off if you are gonna sell or giving away your device. So if you don’t want to set up someone to have access to your location or if you are going to sell your device then it is a good idea to turn off Find My iPhone or else you can sell the iPhone the device gets locked.
Now in the following, I will tell you How to turn off Find My iPhone feature on your Apple Devices.

So let’s start with the iPhone and iPad.

Turn off Find My iPhone service on iPhone and iPad

To turn this feature off on your iPhone or iPad simply go to the settings section> click on your profile name at the top of page. Here you will get an option of iCloud and after clicking on that a section called Find My iPhone will be displayed in your device.
Now to turn this feature off just scroll down to the toggle and hit that off button. The service will now be disabled on your device. You can also turn off iCloud simultaneously to stop Find My iPhone working, but before doing that I want to give a friendly warning that after turning this off you’ll lose access to some other features, such as backups of your device.

Turn off Find My iPhone service on Mac

It is quite easy to turn off this service on a Mac. In your Mac simply press on the half-eaten Apple logo in the top left corner to open up the whole Apple menu. There, you’ll find System Preferences. Just click on that and then you’ll be able to see the option for iCloud.
Here, in this menu you’ll get an option named Find My Mac, which you have to toggle to turn off. An alternative option is to turn off iCloud entirely on your Mac, but I want to tell you that thus you will lose lots of the backup features Apple offers.

Remove an Apple Watch or AirPods from Find My iPhone service

If you want to turn off Find My iPhone service on an Apple Watch or a pair of Apple AirPods, you’ll have to go onto the iCloud website to find the device and then the Find My iPhone feature within that site.
Before performing this task, make sure you’ve run the battery down on whatever device you want to remove. I am suggesting this because it’s something Apple recommends before turning off the service.
All of your devices will appear in this list on the Find My iPhone website, and you’ll have to click on that particular Device option on the list to find which one you want to disconnect.

Hope this helped, in case you have any issue with your iPhone and looking for our expert’s support, you can book a technician here.
Click on that device and at the bottom of a small list you will able to see the option to remove from account. That button will let you to disconnect your device entirely from Find My iPhone.
