Solution 1:
1. Download the troubleshooter Here.
2. Run Windows update troubleshooter.
This will automatically detect problems with your system,
1. Which can take a few minutes to complete,
2. Then click Advanced Settings and you’ll find an “Apply repairs Automatically” option.
This will fix the windows update problem.
Solution 2:
Click on start and search for “troubleshooting” click on troubleshooting control panel
In the Control Panel list of troubleshooters, in the “System and Security” section, click “Fix problems with Windows Update.”
In the Windows Update troubleshooting window, click on Advanced.
Click on “Run as administrator” also select apply repairs automatically and click on Next.
After clicking on next The troubleshooter will fix the problem automatically.
In major cases, the Troubleshooter removes the stuck update and runs Windows Update again it initiate updates’ installation over again.
If the troubleshooter says “it couldn’t identify the problem” restarting the service and clearing out the cache did the trick.
Just restart the Computer and start the services again by clearing the cache

Solution 3: Using System Restore
If your computer still Not responding while installing updates, you can run a System Restore. This will revert your PC to the earlier Settings (For this You need to have a backup of your restore point)
To access System Restore simply type “System Restore” in the search bar and select “Create a restore point”, which will take you to System Protection in the System Properties window. From System Restore, you can restore the backup. This will fix the problem.
